About Us

Pritchett Pastures is a family farm.

James was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. He got his first glimpses of life in nature from stories his grandfather told him of being a park ranger at Yellowstone National Park and going to his grandparent's house on the beach in the summers in Montauk. He moved to South Florida (following his beloved grandparents) in the 80s. This is where he had and raised his two kids, Jade and Jordan.

Rain was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She worked to earn money for her very own horse, Tara, and spent her youth learning and competing with that special horse. She had her son, Elijah, in California before moving to Florida in 2006.

James and Rain were married in 2007, moved to North Carolina in 2020, and bought the 41 acres of Pritchett Pastures in 2022. They gladly spend every day caring for the land, the structures, the animals, and even the people on it.
